Our Tuscan Farmhouse
Only half an hour from the coastline with sandy beaches and clean water, it’s the ideal base to explore the culture and heritage of Tuscany or to just relax by the stunning pool, nestled in the olive groves. Near to lots of cultural hill villages, castles, Etruscan ruins, Siena, Florence, Volterra and much more. Our little village of Giuncarico has an ace restaurant, 2 bars, a butcher and shop and a basic needs shop.
The house has three floors – entering on the ground floor through the main door there is a hallway leading into a sitting room with comfy sofas, open fire (not in the summer, thanks!) and a small smart TV. On through to the huge kitchen with bifold doors that entirely open onto the south facing terrace with dining for up to 12. The kitchen has huge American fridge with ice and water, a wine and beer fridge (essential), an induction hob and double oven, a huge dining table also and a quooker tap (boiling, still and fizzy water – we’re amazed!), loads of crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.
Also leading off the entrance hall is the master suite with large bedroom, private terrace and ensuite bathroom.
The first floor has a twin bedroom and bathroom (shower) and king-size bed with bathroom (shower). whilst downstairs there are a further two kingsize double bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms one with bath and shower over; one with shower; and both opening onto the lower terrace. There is the ‘tecnico’ room with washing machine on lower ground floor.
The main terrace runs the whole length of the house (about 25 metres) and has the best south facing panorama view in the whole world, the dining table is shaded by an electric pergola and there is a seating end with comfy sofas and shade. There is also a terrace on the lower ground floor with additional shaded seating for the downstairs bedroom and a small private terrace off the master-suite.
Sleeps 10 in 5 spacious bedrooms:
Master suite superking plus bath and shower;
Bedroom 2 – superking with shower
Bedroom 3 – king with bath and shower over
Bedroom 4 – twin with shower
Bedroom 5 – twin with shower
The garden is quite wild, although recently planted and there are over 100 olive trees. Two paths wind through the garden down to the pool below the house. The pool is unheated and there are plenty of loungers for your party at the small poolside terrace.
